"My husband & I were sitting on the couch with our daughter between us. She had seen the cat come into the room - she just loves him! She squirmed from a sitting position to lying on the couch, turned over so she was on her tummy, moved over to look over the edge of the couch. She then wiggled back, hung her wee legs & body off the edge until her toes touched the ground, got down onto her knees, leaned over to the side into a kneeling position then onto her tummy reaching out for the cat! What a determined little girl for someone who has just turned 8 months old! We were totally shocked! Jumping Beans has certainly taught her how to get down from a height safely. Thanks Jumping Beans!" Glenda, Hei Hei "My son ( 2 years 6 mths) really loves his Jumping Beans. It's the first thing he says on a Monday morning 'Jumping Beans?'. Plus Denise( his grandmother who brings him along) likes it because he generally sleeps for hours when he gets home from there! It has really improved his confidence with climbing and physical play." Nicole, Ilam Our 3 yr old son attends Jumping Beans in Christchurch. He has a developmental delay and a severe sensory integration disorder. Jumping Beans has helped him so much. When he started 8 months ago, he couldnt climb the ladders, co-ordinate his body, jump on the trampoline, or sit for music time. He didnt know his colours, numbers, how to follow instructions, and lacked confidence. He can now do all of these things and more. Jumping beans has given him the confidence to try new things. Jumping Beans gives children structure and routine but keeps childrens interest by changing the equipment into a different order every fortnight, this helps to challenge them but also to reinforce skills learnt in a different way. It is a wonderful way to spend an hour with your child, and see them learn new skills, for all children, but especially those with special needs. Jo, Christchurch
