“If you were granted 3 wishes for your baby or children in your care, what would you wish for? Health, happiness, self-esteem?
Our goal at Jumping Beans is to empower you, as parents and caregivers, to raise happy, healthy and confident children for a peaceful and sustainable future. You have one of the most important jobs on this planet because you are responsible for your child’s brain development which happens most rapidly in the first five years. Your baby’s brain is formed through what he or she experiences in this highly sensitive time.
The name Jumping Beans represents the tremendous potential and zest for life that all children are born with. Just like a little seed, given appropriate nurturing, our children have the potential to grow into strong, healthy and resourceful individuals with high self-esteem. We take a playful, fun and child-centered approach at Jumping Beans where each child is respected, cherished and valued.
At Jumping Beans we recognize the importance of emotional connectivity as the foundation for learning and self-esteem, and that you, as the nurturer, also need nurturing. Parenting in our nuclear society can be an isolating experience and we welcome you to join our Jumping Beans family where we offer support and friendship. Jumping Beans is a great place to meet new like minded friends.
The activities at Jumping beans are designed to support you in supporting you child’s development and learning. As you play alongside you child, our trained instructors explain how each activity links with your child’s brain development.
The core programme of Jumping Beans follows the developmental stages of your baby’s brain. The first part of the brain to develop is the Brainstem. This is developed through lots of love, hugs and cuddles with mum or a consistent loving caregiver. The next part of the brain to develop is the Midbrain, formed though lots of music and movement experiences. The next part of the brain is the Limbic System, formed through positive social interactions and the final part of the brain to develop is the cortex, responsible for complex thought processes such as reading, writing, arithmetic, and humor.
